Start your day with a cooked breakfast

Having a good breakfast can be very beneficial for your whole day. A cooked, warm or also a cooked and then cooled breakfast will deliver you high amounts of nourishing energy and keep you satisfied until lunchtime. A cooked breakfast on a regular basis prevents massive sugar cravings and energy loss during the afternoon and into the evening.

Try to eat regularly, ideally 3 cooked dishes per day.

If possible make sure to eat around the same time each day, when possible. The human body works at its peak condition and has the best flow if you have a good routine in daily life.​

Some little rave life improving tips based on chinese medicine that are helpful in daily life . It's not necessary to follow each an every one of them but we can start with a few. Choose the most appealing ones to you, then test and feel the improvement in both, energy and digestion.

Drink more hot, warm or room temperature drinks and try to avoid cold drinks also during summer time.

 

 

Your digestive system doesn't like cold drinks. In the long term, cold drinks can harm your digestion and slow down your metabolism. Try to drink warm drinks like tea, or drinks that have not come immediately out of the fridge. 

Water is THE ultimate drink and in most european countries you can drink it directly from the tap. Buy a nice bottle you can reuse and go. Soft Drinks, coffee and juices are just the cherry on the cake and should be limited when possible. In the morning, directly after you get up, drinking one glass of hot or warm water will wash you from inside. It stimulates digestion and your stomach will wake up softly and pleasantly. On top of that you'll get a massive hydra flash, what is very good for your skin. 

 

Make sure you eat enough fruit and cooked vegetables.

 

 

Cooked vegetables should be the main staple of your daily dishes. Choose seasonal and regional fruit and veggies. Mother nature is giving us everything at the right time. It makes sense to have cool inducing tomatoes during summer time, when they taste good and can ripen under sun and then  to have warm inducing cabbage during winter time. It is very pleasant for your digestion system and your whole body plus its many benefits for Mother Nature.

Don't overconsume raw food such as

fruit, smoothies and salads.

 

In chinese medicine these products make up around 5% of the daily food intake. It is very hard to digest especially in the evening. Too much raw food in the long term can dampen your digestion.

Imagine your digestive system as a fuming pot with a small fire underneath for easy flow and friendly temperature. All cold and raw foods are cooling down that digestion fire, what can cause digestion problems in the long term. Or alternatively it may just leave you feeling cold. Try to include more of warm or lukewarm drinks and more cooked meals in your daily life. More easy recipes will follow.​

An apple a day.... You know this game :)

 

 

Fucking true.

Eat an apple a day, (your favourite sort, of course) and many unpleasant things will dissapear. You can also sneak it in it in your cooked breakfast in the morning... Just mhhhh

It's very good for you stomach, your gums, your acid levels, and it’s mild and easy to digest.Just feels like brushing your teeth. And it's a great system cleaning from inside. I'm in a constant relationship with the whole gang :))

Best your eat your apple in the morning or late afternoon. Chew it well, so it's easy to digest in your stomach. Apple makes your digestion fire stronger and gives the fluids the body needs to stay in the flow. For me one of my secret weapons against hangovers, perfect for traveling, flying, whatever

Reduce bread heavy meals.

 

 

Bread is difficult to digest. From time to time of course it’s fine but  in the evening is a very dry and hard to digest meal and always leaves me with a feeling i could eat the entire loaf and still be hungry afterwards. Also Bread with cheese is a acid test for your digestion. It it is cooling and can bloat your belly.

Try to combine bread with soups and compotes mostly. In combination with those foods, bread is more beneficial.

Avoid, if possible fast and processed food.

 

 

This food isn't beneficial for your body at all.

In fact, it's the opposite. It doesen't give you energy or a good feeling afterwards,  plus is very bad for the environment because of all the waste it produces.

Fast food is giving you just an idea of nutrition and it contains way too much unhealthy fats. Imagine that your body is creating your new cells out of the stuff you eat. Exchange your fast food habits against self cooked meals. If you don't have enough time, just cook more of the former meal and take something with you. Mmmmmhhh :)

These tips are for your infomation and if you know specific things, you can make a decision on what you want to nourish your body with at any time.. Knowlegde gives you the power to decide.
