Aaaaaah… Isn’t it amazing to come home from a satisfying party, full of joy and feeling totally free, without feeling any of the pressures of daily life?! I love it. Feels like you’ve just done an intense workout in space. Now it’s time to treat your body and soul. It’s time to regenerate, recharge, and fill yourself with happy feelings.

Now it’s time to treat your body and soul. It’s time to regenerate, recharge, and fill yourself with happy feelings. Also it’s time to listen to your body carefully.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During one or two nights out, you burn a lot of nutrients like fats, proteins, carbohydrates - to name only a few. Your stomach and throat can feel a little bit weak, as well as your whole body.

That’s normal after a space workout.

Listen to your body and your senses - they will tell you what you need now. 

 

Salty, sweet, hot, cold, crispy, moist or solid - whatever it is, get what you like and enjoy it with all your senses. For a smooth after party flow there are different options to prepare yourself for having the best time and recovery with the minimal effort.

 

- You could buy everything you’ll need to chill before going to the party. In that way, you don’t need to take care of anything when you come home. Also, it’s mostly cheaper if you manage to buy stuff during the week in normal super markets.

 

- If you live in a city where everything is available nearly 24/7, perfect.

 

- If you don’t like to cook when you come home, you could cook a big amount before the party and leave the rest in the fridge. Then you just have to reheat it when you come home. Or just order something good and tasty, if you’re still in time for deliveries.

 

- When you still feel unable to eat, you can start with a light soup (or a bouillon sip by sip.

 

- Your could also start with a warm chamomile tea, if your stomach is still in trouble.

Here are some ideas of what to eat after a party:

 

- Potatoes, scrambled egg and spinach (here) . Potatoes and eggs are pure energy after a party. They are easy to chew and digest. The spinach works as a sauce.

 

- Any vegetable soup you like

 

- Red lentils (soaked before) with basmati rice and vegetables and / or tofu.

 

I wouldn’t go for salad (too cold), raw vegetables in general, meat, cheese, pizza (too dry) or anything too spicy. They are all hard to digest and your stomach is still in party sleep mode. You need to wake it up gently, things that are warm and moist are best, with salty or sweet flavors. These flavors calm the mind and instantly give you a feeling of nourishing comfort. Try to avoid anything too sour, too spicy, too bitter, too dry and too fatty.

This is a day to just nurse your body. Everything else you can eat on any other day.

 

- What also works wonders and is super easy to eat is one ripe avocado (When they are ripe they are soft when you press them, like medium cold butter) with a pinch of salt, before going to bed. Or just in between. Avocados leave you with a nice and pleasant feeling and ensure you get a high level of energy back asap.

 

- Light bread with vegetable dip

 

- Light bread softly toasted with butter and honey (very good for a sensitive party throat)

 

- Mild tomato sauce with vegetables or bolognese - pasta is easy to cook 

 

- Long cooked soups ala chinese medicine
