We all know this one: A blocked, itchy or irritated nose after an intense night clubbing or even just a night at home with friends. Beside the chemical way, there are a few natural options to improve the health of your nose naturally.

How to prevent your nose from feeling unpleasant?

During the party or even daily, you can use sea salt sprays. They keep your sensitive nose hydrated and flush out the substances from time to time.

If your nose is running constantly, invest in soft tissues. There are also some with balm. You may not be aware that abrasive tissues can irritate your nose even more.

Drink a lot of water (room temperature is best) or tea. Works also when you just arrive home after a night out. It keeps your nose clear and improves nasal secretion fluid. This is important to keep the sensitive skin in your nose strong against coughs and sneezes.

You also can inhale with chamomille tea or salt water. Just take a pot, put 2 or 3 teabags in the pot and brew it with hot water on the stove. Put a towel over your head, bend over the pot and cover your head and pot with the towel. Make sure it is not too hot for you. If so, wait a few minutes and try it again. Inhale with your nose and your mouth the hot steam and enjoy. Afterward relax, put a nourishing cream on your face and feel how it has worked for you.

This also works perfectly with salt water. Both are super good for your skin and also the sensitive skin inside your nose. It also works to clear your lungs and throat if you have a cough. You can also do this before a party if you have dry or problematic skin before. Your skin will be softer afterwards and looking fresh. Just try it for yourself and enjoy.

And don’t forget the creams. You can buy them at the pharmacy and they are especially for the nose and the eyes. Best use it overnight after an inhaling or neti pot session.
You and your nose will feel amazing the next morning.

Another deluxe option is a Neti Pot or Nose Shower. … Never heard of this?

Time to explore this powerful tool.

How and Why to Use a Neti Pot

Exercise, clean diet, and adequate sleep are a few of the more obvious ways to maintain your health. Your nose is another vital pathway to a healthy body.

Nasal passages are the first line of defense against pollution, allergens, and/or substances; it’s important to keep them clean and functioning. A nasal wash or shower is an effective way to flush out mucus and toxins and keep your passages healthy, after an intense night with a lot of bumps.

The neti pot, a traditional Ayurvedic therapy that dates back thousands of years is on the rise and many users, allergy and sinus sufferers are turning to it as an alternative to over-the-counter medication, which can carry unpleasant side effects. Using a neti pot is quick, simple, and cost effective—and perhaps most importantly, it can raise the body’s defenses against illness.

The neti pot is a form of nasal saline irrigation therapy.

Many have noted its resemblance to the magic lamp from the story of Aladdin.

Using a neti pot is an all-natural therapy that offers a number of benefits. It can help:

- Clear nostrils for improved breathing especially if your nose is still full of     substances you don't need for sleep

- Reduce snoring

- Reduce nasal dryness

- Ease sinus headaches

- Alleviate facial pain and pressure

- Relieve allergy symptoms such as stuffy or runny nose

- Heighten the sense of smell and taste

- Prevent the common cold and other upper respiratory infections

- Allow for deeper breathing

- Reduce the need for medications such as antibiotics and decongestants

Benefits of Using a Neti Pot

How to Use a Neti Pot

Lean over a sink and tilt your head at about a 45-degree angle. Insert the spout into your right nostril and begin to breathe through your mouth as you tip the pot up slightly. The saline solution will flow through the right nasal passage and out the left nostril into the sink. If solution runs down into your throat, simply spit it out, and blow your nose to get rid of any mucus and excess solution. Repeat the same process in the left nostril. Use daily while suffering from symptoms.

If you haven't done it before, start softly. In the beginning the feeling can be a little bit unpleasant. But you get used to it very quickly.

Important Tips for Using a Neti Pot

Use the purest water possible: sterile, distilled, or filtered. You can also use tabwater, if the water quality is good. Always wash your hands before using a neti pot. To avoid stinging, use non-iodized salt and make sure it’s completely dissolved. Clean the neti pot thoroughly after each use with distilled or filtered water, then dry completely.

If you don't have a neti pot or nose shower you can also sniff lukewarm tap water inside your nose. This alone is a good starter in nose care and also very helpfull and gives you a clean and pleasant feeling.

You can buy nose showers or neti pots in the pharmacy or online.

For the salt mixture, instead of using expensive nose shower salt, you can substitute that with high quality salt you use for cooking. Himalayan salt for example. For every one glass add half of a teaspoon. Mix it well. It must be completely dissolved.

Wishing you big fun with your new clear nose feeling and way less nose drama so there is even more time to enjoy the high life : )

Yours deeply,
